Item Details
Super Imari charger in excellent overall condition, signed to the back.
Imari ware, a type of Japanese porcelain, originated in the Arita region of Kyushu, Japan. The name "Imari" comes from the port of Imari, where the porcelain was shipped to the West, primarily Europe. The production of Imari ware was driven by the demand for porcelain in Europe, and the Dutch East India Company played a key role in encouraging its production and export.
