Eighteenth century Italian Lidded vase, from the Castelli Maiolica school, marked 'Cappelletti Rapino di Chieti Abruzzi' to the underside of the lid and near the base of the pot, the vase is decorated wth a coastal scene among woodland and classical ruins, the rim decorated with a Bacchanal or putti within a vineyard, the lid decorated with rural life including fishing, shepherding and shooting in a woodland setting, condition is very good with no cracks and no restoration, chips to the inside of the lid, the edge of the lid and ware to the finial.
