This is a beautifully crafted antique 17th Century Revival Chinoiserie red laquered cabinet on stand, of small proportions, circa 1900 in date.
Labels on the back for Lady Mary Mills. Late wife of Sir John Mills, actor.
The cabinet features figural scenes to the twin doors and opens to further figures and animals on a red lacquered ground to the fitted interior consisting of ten oak lined drawers with brass handles.
It sits on a beautifully carved stand in the William & Mary taste, profusely modelled overall with scrolling foliage, putti, floral panels and other motifs.
All with brass hinges and escutions, original key., splits into two with brass carrying handles..
